Corporal Napoleon cigars are hand rolled at Tabacalera Las Villas in Nicaragua with a blend of Dominican San Vicente Ligero, Nicaraguan Condega Corojo, Nicaraguan Jalapa, and Costa Rican Habano Viso long fillers bound in Nicaraguan Corojo Viso leaf and blanketed in a Mexican stalk-cut San Andrés wrapper. Named after Napoleon Bonaparte whose troops may have contributed to the widespread enjoyment of cigar smoking throughout Europe upon their return from various campaigns, these tasty cigars offer notes of dried fruits, black pepper, cream, chocolate, and molasses. In 2019, the city of Havana, Cuba, celebrated its 500th anniversary. Being from Havana (and having named his cigar company after Havana City), HVC founder Reinier Lorenzo of course needed to commemorate the quincentennial milestone. HVC’s 500 Years Anniversary cigar is a Nicaraguan puro composed of a Corojo ’99 wrapper from Jalapa, a binder from Jalapa, and fillers from both Jalapa and Estelí — all the tobacco sourced from Aganorsa. Only 1,533 boxes made!!!

The newest Principle Gold Band features a dominant dark chocolate note on the palate, while other flavors toasted bread, hay, creamy oak, almonds and espresso beans flit in and out.
